Our Short Story Contest is Closed.

Shot Caller Press, LLC conducts contests for stories, art and poetry. Our last contest –for short stories about prison life–did not bring in as many stories as the first contest. This may have been due to the lengthy expectations. Entries were to be 5,000 words or less.

That is a lot of story.

The good news is with the combined entries from both contests Shot Caller Press will be able to publish an anthology of prison stories. If you entered into either contest (first or second contest) your story may have a chance of being selected to be part of the anthology; and, if you entered the 2010 short story contest you may still have a chance of winning one of the cash prizes.

If you live in a state or are housed in a prison that does not allow you to enter contests we want you to know we will always welcome short stories and art for consideration for publication outside contests.

Remember to watch our website for contest announcements or write to us and ask to be on our mailing list for more information.
