Shot Caller Press, LLC welcomes the submission of complete manuscripts to consider for publication.
The kind of writings we are looking for is non-fiction (life stories and experiences in prison). We do consider fiction and novels written by prisoners. We are not interested in "how to fix the system" books. We believe there are already many good writings, essays and books on the subject of reform. What we want are inspirational stories that will invoke thought, feeling and emotion.
Our goal is to expose the truth about prison life and make people ask questions, which we believe will inspire change.
Once we accept a manuscript for publishing and we have a signed contract we will work with the author to edit, layout, copyright, and print books. All at no charge to the author.
Submit A Manuscript
- When submitting a manuscript for consideration, please keep the original. We do not return manuscripts. If you must send the original, please indicate it is your only copy, so we can make a copy and return the original.
- Send complete manuscripts only. Partial manuscripts will not be considered for publication.
- Handwritten manuscripts are acceptable.
- Please allow us up to six months to respond.
